I could spend hours walking around the ancient Sumerian, Babylonian and Egyptian rooms.

No matter how busy the museum is, due to the vastness of the collection it's always possible to find a quiet spot to sit and draw .

It's just so weird.

Lots of token operated machines that do all sorts of bizarre things - from being frisked to controlling a nuclear reactor.

Like most great cities London's full of the most incredible art galleries, cafes and parks but I've never seen anything like this anywhere else.

Most other monuments are built to commemorate Kings, Queens or Military leaders - this tower commemorates the ordinary people and buildings as well as just London.
This is an art experience - you get to climb to the top you are part of the tower, you see what it sees – the changing view of London. The city is the star, you are the centre of the art – you are making the art by climbing up, it's now your story and part of your life – as art should be.

I first became obsessed with the Royal Albert Hall as a teenager when I discovered that supergroup Cream played their farewell concert there in 1968. The pomposity of a rock group playing a classical music concert hall tickled me and I've loved it ever since.
For grandeur, spectacle, as well as the stunning sound and a breathtaking sense of occasion - there is simply no better place in London to enjoy live music.

I live close to the Horniman now, but it was one of my favourite places way before I moved to Forest Hill.

It’s such a great museum with a room full of stuffed animals, another with hundreds of musical instruments - it even has an aquarium!

The gardens are lovely too, with views over London and a mini zoo featuring alpacas sporting funny haircuts. I even spent a year learning to play Gamelan here, but that's a whole other story.

It's the absolute best spot in London to see all of my favourite landmarks...

From Crystal Palace Transmitter on the far right, Battersea Power Station, The London Eye, BT Tower, The Shard, St Paul's, The City all the way over to Canary Wharf.

And the best thing is, it's all free!

A wonderful green spot in the middle of the very popular Southbank.
It's just above the oldest open air skatepark in London, next to the amazing Southbank Centre.

Only open during warmer months but well worth a visit - it's a quiet, green, not too busy (just don't go there on a Friday evening) space where you'll find yourself sipping on a refreshing drink, surrounded by beautiful plants & looking at the city around you.

A tunnel full of amazing street art that runs underneath Waterloo station.

There's always something new to see as the artwork is constantly changing.

It's an inspiring, colourful part of london tucked away near the London Eye.

Definitely worth a wander down.

One of the original Victorian suburbs of London - it's very green and has some great views over the city.
I remember visiting the area a lot as a kid - we would often go to Crystal Palace Park which, apart from being a very nice park, is also historically significant as it was designed to house the Great Exhibition of 1851. The town itself is also well worth a visit; there is a daily antique market and regular craft and farmers markets at the weekend.

From floor to ceiling, this small but very special museum showcases thousands of species from the animal kingdom.

The museum is like a library, full of Victorian display cases of preserved species.

I love this place! It's not the most obvious location to find a museum - it's quite hidden and not too busy, which makes you feel like you've really stumbled across someone's private collection!

I've been lucky enough to work in and around Carnaby for the past 10 years!
There's no place like it in central London for independent shopping, amazing food and brilliant London pubs.
Kingly Court is a hidden gem for food and cocktails, I've had so many brilliant nights there after work.
Plus... WBTC was born here! For me there is nothing quite like Carnaby on a summers day with one of our incredible artists creating live art on the street.

We visit Victoria Park with our dogs just about every day, and no trip is complete without a visit to the Pavilion Cafe for delicious food or a cup of tea.

Not far from our office, the park is the perfect place to clear our heads, talk through ideas and keep the dogs from going stir crazy in the office!

I never tire of walking from Parliament Hill to Kenwood House and eating a bowl of pasta in the cafe by the bandstand - or sitting by the ponds with a picnic in Summer.
Of all the London parks, this is the one I love most.
There are so many different routes you can walk and hills you can look over all of London from.

Formally the The Regent Palace Hotel, this place literally takes me back in time to the 1930s.

Its marble entrance, tall opulent ceilings and gold gilding are overwhelming and delightful.

The cocktails are great too!

There is a lot of London history here.

I can guess how these places used to be in the past; steam boats coming in and leaving the docks, crowds of people all around the docks... I can feel all that smog!

I love industrial London. I love how the city matches past, present & future and how East London - grey and filthy in the past - came back to life with plenty of colour and creativity.

The Southbank includes places like the Royal Festival Hall, Borough Market and Tate Modern. Not to mention the great views of landmarks such as St Paul’s. The Tate is always inspiring to visit and I think there’s something there for everyone. The Matisse Cut Out’s show from a few years ago being a highlight for me - I think I went to see it about 5 or 6 times!

The area of Spitalfields is an amazingly creative and diverse area that is definitely worth visiting.

We opened our first shop here almost 15 years ago, just round the corner from the Golden Heart Pub.
Our work in the beginning was inspired by gritty East London and the start of the London street art scene.

It is a must to pop down here on a Sunday and experience the market and all the surrounding shops.

It’s a haven of amazing neon loveliness!
Even on a miserable day, stepping foot inside God's Own Junkyard is like escaping normality for a short while.
Often I have been there when it’s been empty and I’ve been able to just walk around for ages looking around, discovering new pieces and taking it all in.
It’s quite a spectacular place if you love signage and light, which I do. Every time I go I feel hugely excited and completely inspired.

This is my favourite place at the moment, mainly because I'm super nosy and enjoy snooping at the flats that you can see into!

I also love to take a notebook up there with a cup of coffee and sketch the buildings: it's the best all round, close up view of buildings in London (and it's free).

You can see so many buildings in such detail and from a new perspective.

The Southbank riverside has been one of my favourite spots in London since I was a nipper.

The width of the river opens up views to see the different districts of the city in all directions, and you can sit looking at the Thames with boats of all different sizes travelling along it.

The area has an international feel, with museums and attractions for tourists to visit and a lot of public open space to enjoy.

Camberwell was the first place I moved to when I came to London and it still feels like home - so many amazing creative spaces and delicious food spots.

I went to Falafel the first week I arrived and still can't find anywhere that comes close.
The staff are super friendly and it's always busy.

The food is amazing - especially the falafel - and they also do the best lemon and mint juice.

Hyde Park has got so many layers.
The Diana Memorial Playground is amazing for taking the kids. It’s got a full size PIRATE SHIP!
Hyde Park also has the Serpentine Gallery; the annual Serpentine summer pavilion is a really inspiring sculptural structure to explore.
Not to mention going around the round pond, the Serpentine lake for an afternoon’s boating and generally forgetting you are in London walking through the trees of Kensington Gardens.

Being able to look out at London’s amazing overlapping architecture is hugely inspiring for my intricate cityscape designs. At certain times of day the area can be very tranquil and inspiring.

As well as a 360 degree view of London, there is also good coffee, many exotic plants, as well as a couple of telescopes!
