Creative Pride

14TH JUNE-7TH JULY

We are excited to announce an exhibition, shop and workshop series on Carnaby Street to showcase the creative talent of the LGBTQI+ community and raise money for Opening Doors London!

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, an event that changed the course of LGBTQI+ history and began the foundation of Pride parades as we know them today. Half a century on, We Built This City still believe that Pride matters more than ever, and to celebrate this we have curated a month-long exhibition on Carnaby Street entitled ‘Creative Pride: Loud. Proud. Now’ showcasing and selling work from 12 of the most influential creatives from Queer community here in the UK.

Partnering with the official Pride in London festival all intersections of the community are coming together to celebrate what it means to be queer today through illustration, ceramics, literature, photography and more. With a programme of events led by the artists themselves, members of the public can attend workshops, live art events and talks throughout Pride season to celebrate the LGBTQI+ community of the past, present and future!

We will be donating 10% of any sales made from the Creative Pride event to Opening Doors London - the biggest charity providing information and support services specifically for older Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people in the UK.
